Tonya Fulkerson
Co-Founder, FK & Company
Tonya has grown one of the nation’s most influential political fundraising firms, successfully leading effective fundraising programs that fuel many of the country’s most contentious and expensive campaigns for Members of Congress, SuperPACs, and political 501(c)4s.
Cycle after cycle, Tonya has raised record dollar amounts for high-profile clients, including U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), DSCC Chairman U.S. Senator Gary Peters (D-MI), U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Chris Coons (D-DE). As a senior advisor to Senate Majority PAC, she has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for the nation’s most influential, left-leaning SuperPAC that shapes the country’s most competitive Senate races. Prior to co-founding FK&Co, Tonya served as Finance Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) while U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was DSCC Chairman during the 2006 and 2008 cycles.
For more than 20 years, Tonya has amplified the voices of candidates who share her vision for a better future by connecting wealthy donors with political causes and campaigns. She has cultivated an extensive network of funders nationwide through cutting-edge research and long-standing relationships with corporate executives and high-net-worth individuals. Tonya’s political acumen and in-depth understanding of campaign finance, along with well-honed instincts, make her an adept advisor to clients navigating the evolving
landscape inside the beltway and across the country.
Tonya’s strategic vision and thoughtful management style have been instrumental in shaping FK&Co’s business strategy, developing its senior leadership team, and fostering a culture rooted in integrity while celebrating hard work, ambition, and innovation.
Tonya also works with nonprofit clients to build an effective network of funders and allies and host dynamic events. She has championed fundraising efforts for Sandy Hook Promise, including launching its annual Promise Champions Gala to honor congressional members for their commitment to violence prevention through gun safety and mental health awareness. She has also worked with March of Dimes to support its annual Gourmet Gala, a cook-off during which Members of Congress present dishes to a panel of D.C.’s most renowned chefs.
A native of Slidell, Louisiana and graduate of the Louisiana State University, Tonya began her career in Baton Rouge working for the Louisiana Democratic Party during the 2002 election cycle. She lives in Washington with her husband and their two children.
